ZHULIN Longvity Pagoda
Thanks to the diligent efforts of the expansion team and the support of the vast congregation, South Australia's first Chinese-style pagoda has now risen on the adjacent vacant land. Traditional Chinese pagodas are characterized by their streamlined eaves, exquisite reliefs, sturdy beams and columns, and a layered upward structure, showcasing the unique charm of Eastern architecture. Building such a pagoda on the land of South Australia holds significance beyond Buddhist services; it also enriches the local cultural heritage.
ZHULIN Longvity Pagoda：
第一， 法法如是， 代表真理遍一切時、一切處；
第二， 如是我聞， 秉承和弘揚佛陀的教導；
第三， 如是協調， 與竹林寺現有的“如是兒童學校”，“如是青年組”和諧。
Rusi Tower is located to the left rear of the Grand Hall It has a total floor area of over 800 square meters and stands at a height of more than 20 meters, comprising four levels.
Its functions include:
Ground Floor - Lotus Pond Ocean Assembly:
This serves as a Memorial Hall where devotees can place the ashes and memorial tablets of their deceased loved ones.
First Floor - Crystal World:
This floor houses a statue of Bhaisajyaguru Buddha It functions as an educational corridor, displaying the history of Buddhism, the life of the Buddha, the formation and evolution of different Buddhist sects, fundamental Buddhist doctrines, various meditation practices, and provides an introduction to the history and mission of the Sangha Council of South Australia.
Second Floor -Attaining Pure Dharma Eye:
This level serves as a gallery of Buddhist culture and art. It hosts exhibitions year-round showcasing Buddhist artworks from various ethnic backgrounds and their cultural significance. Additionally, it serves as an international Buddhist conference hall.
Top Floor - Entering Samadhi:
This level houses sacred images of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as relics of eminent monks.
The area in front of the Pagoda is partly designed as a traditional Chinese garden, and the other part serves as a parking area. The external construction of the parking area and Pagoda is now largely completed.
Function Hall
It is planned to build a functional hall that can accommodate 400-500 people.
There are meditation hall, Dharma hall, library and Dharma master's dormitory inside, and a Rushi children's school can be moved there.
